Mid-Year Reflection

It’s July 1, 2016…Happy Republic Day to my nation, Ghana!!!!❤❤

This year has been such a great year thus far. I’ve seen such immense growth in a lot of areas in my life. With that said, i am not implying its been all roses and peaches. It has been a really tough first half. But as the good book says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:…”(Prov. 23:7 KJV), so i would rather think of the positive. Also, in Phillipians 4:8-9, the Bible says,“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things…..”, so just as the Bible instructs, i will think only about these lovely things and not dwell on the negatives.

First of all, this blog has been such a great avenue for me. Its like my baby has grown from a newborn to a toddler! So many likes! So many comments! I am oh so grateful to each and every one of you readers! Whether you have subscribed, or you just pop in once in a while, i am grateful to you!. For your comments and likes…thank you! You do not know how much it all means to me. I never ever thought i would be this person, who gets so much joy from blogging. I never thought i would be good at this when i first started, but one thing i know for sure is that, God is at work in my life right now. He is directing my steps. What i thought was a setback is turning out to be a setup.

My Spiritual life! Oh has God been grateful! I am not sure how to explain this, but one thing i can say is that i love who God has making me to be & the journey he has put me on. To sum it up, i will share a wonderful encounter i experienced today:

I woke up this morning, and i declared a July fast for personal reasons. Unknown to me, God had planned that out already. Haha! He’s always one step ahead of us. During my intimate time with Him this morning, He shared the story of Elijah with me, but with a totally different and wonderful meaning. He also taught me how to pray fervently, and it was a step by step process, i still cannot wrap my head around it. He made Himself so real to me. One thing i would like to share with you all however, from this morning’s session is that just like Elijah, there are some seasons where you have to pray fervently. Sometimes you have to come back to God the second, third, fourth and even twelfth time, only because God knows what is ahead. He allows this to happen multiple times, because He sees that what you are praying for is not really what you are craving, because He sees deeper within you, so the more you come back to Him, and pray, the more you find out that what you thought was so important fades away and you realize that it is in God that you find everything.

I have worried less about unimportant issues. I have grown to let go and let God. I have learned to let prayer become by weapon, and my food to live by. I have realized the true meaning of friendships and the kind i should keep. Ohh i have forgiven! I have let go of past hurts. I have loved. The list goes on and on. So thank you Lord! Thank you for all these and more. With all these wonderful things, I know i am well prepared for the next half of this year. He has given me the boldness and confidence to move forward(Ephesians 3:11-12, “……in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.”), something i didn’t possess previously.

Prov. 31:30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.

P.S: I found this picture and thought it showed all the growth, confidence and boldness i have grown to possess. I look forward to the greater that is coming!!!!
